Thai shares jumped 2.77 per cent Wednesday on higher oil prices and a weaker dollar, analysts said.
The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) index ended at 624.55, up 16.82 points or 2.77 per cent.
"Because of the higher oil prices a lot of foreign investors were buying petroleum sector stocks," Chaiyod Jiwankul, an analyst at Country Group Securities, said.
"Another factor was the weakening dollar, which has drawn investment into Asian stocks," he said. //DPA
